Materials Resource

What can you print on?
You can print on cardstock, fabric, photo paper or vellum. Also vinyl and clear acetate designed especially for inkjet or laser printers. You can find most of these at any office supply store or online. The fabric for printing can also be found at craft and fabric stores. We will cover the use and/or treatment of each individual material as the project calls for it.

Tip: If you can't find the fabric specially made for printing you can use the freezer paper method. Simply cut freezer paper & fabric approximately the same size - 8 ½" x 11" or whatever size will fit into your printer. Set your iron to "cotton" and heat set the fabric to the shiny side of the freezer paper. Let cool for a minute. Place this fabric/paper combination into printer tray making sure that the fabric is "print side up", then print as usual. Let the ink dry for a minute, peel the fabric from the paper, then heat set the ink with a hot iron for a moment.
